Methodology
Projects move through three general stages before credits are issued and listed on the public registry. This page describes the process in general terms for demonstration purposes; it does not reference or claim conformance with any real-world standards body.
Stage One
Project Design & Baseline
Operators submit a project design document establishing the capture or storage method, monitoring plan, and a baseline against which reductions are measured.
Stage Two
Independent Verification
An accredited third-party verifier reviews project data, site records, and monitoring results against the applicable methodology before recommending approval.
Stage Three
Issuance & Registry Listing
Once verified, credits are issued with a unique serial number and the project is listed on the public registry, where its status is tracked through to retirement.
